Pamela Neswald
Currently working in oil on fine linen in an Impressionistic style, Pamela Neswald’s work is informed by an eclectic history ranging from abstract to expressionism to cartoon surrealism. This broad range of styles and concepts enriches the expression of line, value, and paint quality while imbuing the work with thoughtful yet subtle (or less subtle!) expression. She loves to work from direct observation such as plein air painting or alla prima gesture painting from a live model. These small paintings and studies are as popular among collectors as the studio work, due to a certain freshness, affordability, and smaller space commitment. Pamela lives with her husband, artist and organic chemist Peter Fisher, in Pukalani.
