Mort Luby studied art at the Universities of Notre Dame and Wisconsin, the Art Institute of Chicago, and Scottsdale Artists’ School, and has painted in workshops with some of America’s greatest living artists. He has won more than 40 awards in various local, regional, and national competitions, and his work has been displayed in dozens of galleries, corporate offices, civic buildings, libraries, hospitals, and private collections around the world.

Mort works in both watercolor and oil. A native of Chicago, Mort divides his time between Carpentersville, Illinois, and Haiku, Maui, Hawaii. He is a member of the Oil Painters of America, the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Art, Valley Art Club, Plein Air Painters of Maui, and Plein Air Painters of Chicago.
