Born and raised in British Columbia, Canada , Sarah knew she wanted to be and artist as far back as she can remember. She graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver in 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Fine art and lived and worked in Vancouver until 2014. In the summer of 2014 she moved to Hawaii and now creates full time on the island of Maui. Inspired by her surroundings, her paintings often incorporate natural subjects such as endemic flowers and plants. She is fascinated by color and light relationships and is always learning new techniques. Her favorite medium is watercolor but she loves to experiment with many mediums, most recently being encaustics.
