« Previous | Next »A non-traditional approach to a time-honored folk art, this one-of-a-kind Kipona lei features multiple strands of kahelelani (turban shells) māku‘e followed by sections of puka shells separating laiki (rice shells) woven with kahelelani ‘ākala wai pāpipi.
Finished with two pōleholeho ʻāpuʻupuʻu (cowrie shells, bumpy), two sundial shells, and a 14K gold-filled magnetized clasp.
