Niʻihau Collector’s Lei, 44″ 20-Strand Keʻokeʻo Ikaika Lāiki. Crafted by master artisan Ane Kanahele.
Traditionally worn by a bride, Lāiki (rice shells) are strung in the Pololei (end-to-end) style. In order to make this lei, the makers’ family would have collected the thousands of shells over many years! Fantastic piece for a wedding.
Finished with a Pōleholeho ʻāpuʻupuʻu (cowrie shell, bumpy) accented by two puka shells.
