Gary Forrest retired to Haiku, Maui, after founding and running a successful optical test equipment company. Here he developed a printing technique for his photography that utilizes a commercial grade Epson printer modified to print on very thin papers with archival Ultrachrome K3 inks. He then incorporates these shoji paper prints into framed art and lamps. The customer is welcome to provide their own photos or artwork. Gary also builds beautiful one of a kind clocks and lamps that combine koa and other hardwoods with stained glass, simple carvings oil penciled or 23k gold filled, and abalone or koa inserts.
Many of these are original, one of a kind pieces and may have already been sold. Please contact us to find out what is currently available. We will send photos upon request.
