In 1989, she moved permanently to Maui and began to study renaissance painting with Yoshiko Fujita. On Maui she became a plein air painter and gathered with Maui's best landscape artists weekly to capture the beauty of the island on canvas. She is a member of the Plein Air Painters of Hawaii.
She began teaching art in 1989 to children and adults specializing in color theory and composition. Her art instruction with at risk youth allowed her to share her talents and give back to the community. She is the owner of Aloha Maui Creations, a graphic art business.
Her oil paintings capture the natural beauty of subjects with illuminating color. Her work is inspired by nature, human emotions and ancient wisdom.
