Cameron Nelson’s has spent the last fifteen years traveling to the different Hawaiian Islands. His passion for photography and adventure has taken him on many different hikes and locations throughout the islands. Some of the places of interest include; The Napali Coast on the North Shore of Kauai, the Banzia Pipeline on the North Shore of Oahu, The bamboo forest in Hana, Maui and the Volcano National Park on the Big Island. Cameron now lives on the magical island of Maui with his wife Deelia and daughter Makayla. Cameron firmly believes in preserving our precious Mother Earth. His connection to the Hawaiian Islands and traditions of malama ka ‘aina (caring for the land) and ho’oponopono (making things right) illustrate his intent to recognize Earth’s beauty and preserve its resources.
Cameron finds great satisfaction sharing information about the history and culture of the Hawaiians. He also likes to teach people hoe to improve or enhance their own photographic skills. Cameron practices different ways of connecting with the island and it’s energy such as; surfing, hiking, camping, swimming, yoga and mediation. Through these hobbies he is able to experience and see the beauty and nature of the Hawaiian islands. Maui and its neighboring islands provide an idyllic setting for portraying nature in all its beauty.
