A multi-talented artist, Victoria Wundrum paints beautifully in watercolor, oil, acrylic and pastel and also creates jewelry and mixed media constructions. She says of her recent body of watercolors "I love the combination of control and abandonment. Carefully painting clear water on a detailed space and then dropping pigment and watching it move and settle into the thick, textured paper is wonderful. I love the bright clear colors that can be captured with watercolor."

Victoria is from the Pacific Northwest and has had the opportunity to live in Japan, England and various places on the Mainland. While living in the Los Angeles area, she wrote and illustrated a children’s book, “The Stick” which is available on Amazon. View Victoria Wundrum's Artwork

MAUI HANDS GALLERY AT 1169 MAKAWAO AVENUE PRESENTS FINE ARTIST RICHARD DIGIACOMO. COME WATCH THIS ARTIST WORK HIS MAGIC ON ALUMINUM PANELS EVERY THURSDAY IN MARCH FROM 11:00AM TO 3:00PM. RICHARD WILL ALSO BE JOINING US FOR OUR THIRD FRIDAY EVENT, ON THE 20TH, FROM 4:30PM TO 8:00PM.

Richard DiGiacomo, of Russian and Italian descent, is an accomplished artist who is known for his innovative approach to coloration. As a master of his craft, Richard has been nationally rated in the top 5% in his field for his coloration techniques. For more than 35 years, he has worked with celebrities, noted interior designers and leading institutions. His work has earned numerous awards of excellence, has been displayed regularly on television and has been featured on radio. Transplanted to Maui, Hawaii in 2010, Richard was ascended to a new level of artistic ability with his newly-created metal fused art. Created by the etching of aluminum panels and color, and fused with various techniques, his technique calls for many coats of clear seals, applied to create depth and movement.

MORT WILL BE PAINTING ON SITE AT OUR PAIA LOCATION EVERY TUESDAY IN MARCH 1:00PM TO 4:00PM. HE WILL ALSO BE AT THE HYATT RECENCY ON WEDNESDAYS THE 11TH AND 18TH FROM 5:00PM TO 8:00PM. COME MEET THIS TALENTED ARTIST.

Mort Luby studied art at the Universities of Notre Dame and Chicago. He is a member of numerous art associations, including the Oil Painters of America, the Plein Air Painters of Chicago, the Valley Art Club and the Palette and Chisel Academy of Art in Chicago. He has taken instruction with America's premier art teachers, including Charles Movali, Clyde Aspevig, John Howard Sanden, Robert Hoffman and Maui's own Julie Houck.

Mort has won more than 40 awards (including three best-of-show citations) in various local, regional and national art shows. His work is displayed in private and corporate collections in more than a dozen nations around the world. Luby paintings have hung in more than a dozen art galleries, libraries, hospitals and public buildings all over the United States.

Mort paints in oil and watercolor. The scope of his work encompasses everything from life drawings to huge oil paintings of historical scenes.

Before plunging fulltime into his art career, Mort was the CEO of Luby Publishing, a publisher of sports magazines. He was a stringer for Associated Press for more than 40 years, filing stories from more than 70 countries worldwide.

Fine artist, Ariel Quiroz, enjoys drawing, painting, portraiture and the human figure, mixing realistic effects with Impressionism and Expressionism. He has been participating in competitions, exhibitions, and artistic projects in visual art including theater and short films since 1995. Ariel conveys and evokes emotions and ideas, whether philosophical, aesthetic or spiritual, to stimulate the imagination and translate feelings into interesting images, that invite independent thinking and responses of joy and the value of humanity. Born in Chile in 1981, Ariel ventured to Brazil, México and now Maui to share his exquisite talent.
