The art of Island
Style Woodworking by Daniel Tracy
A local craftsman with a vision for the future, Dan Tracy is also president of the company, Pacific Power Sails, which produces clean energy from high altitude wind. Trained by master woodworker, Joe Tracy, Dan uses select Hawaiian lava stone and koa wood to build end tables, lamps, coffee tables and commissioned pieces. In 2004 one of his coffee tables was accepted into the prestigious Art Maui Exhibition and many of his pieces are in fine homes in Canada and across the US. 'Auli'i Mitchell, a Kahuna from the Big Island, Hawaii, has offered Dan's work a blessing and wishes him luck in his endeavors.
