The art of Jenny Sharp
A native of Lexington Kentucky, Jenny Sharp began her art career in stained glass in 1979. After her first class, she recognized stained glass as a medium ideally suited to her abilities as a careful craftsperson and affinity to work with color.
She moved on to teaching beginning and advanced classes and exhibiting her work in shows, winning several prestigious awards. Jenny opened "Sharp Stained Glass", offering a full line of glass supplies, as well as beginning and advanced classes. During this time, Jenny's commissioned projects included mosaics, fused and slumped glass, and lamp making. In 2002, her love of nature, adventure, and simplicity led her to Northern California to work as a River Ranger, kayaking her way down the Klamath River for the US Forest Service. This rewarding change in lifestyle rekindled a longing to return to Maui, glass, and the Aloha spirit. Ms. Sharp's work is now featured at Maui Hands in Makawao, Paia and Lahaina.
