The art of Sheri Levin McNerthney

My art is inspired by the amazing variety of color and form in my Upcountry Maui garden. I grow orchids, roses, proteas, and a variety of tropical flowers along with my organic coffee and fruit orchard. When a plant blossoms, it is a celebration of life. I strive to capture that celebration in the images I create.

Art is my third career. I am thrilled to be living my dream as a full-time artist after successful careers first as a software engineer and then as a homeschooling mom. I have always loved to draw, starting with my first box of Crayolas half a century ago. In recent years I have been fortunate to train with some of the modern masters of classical realist art. Most recently I completed a year of full-time training in drawing, painting, and sculpture at the Pacific Atelier.
