The art of Claudia Keane
My interest in pottery began at 10 years old when my parents bought my
first kiln. As a self taught artist who came to Maui in 1992 I began
my formal studies at Hui No'eau Maui for 3 years. Continuing this
development with pottery I then went to Skidmore College in upstate New
York to study additional techniques with porcelain and glazing. Later taking
workshops at University of Hawaii, Manoa. I have been working for one year
in my own studio. Living on Maui surrounded by the island's beauty, I am
continually inspired by its colors and brilliance.
