The art of Al Harty

Close up fish photography is a very, very difficult task. How do you get within 10-14 inches, without disturbing or altering the natural behavior of the subject? Al has combined his skills as a scuba diver, divemaster, chief divemaster, chief instructor, ship diver, black coral diver, shell collector, and long distance ocean swimmer to let him be a fish in water. His travels have taken him from the coasts of Florida to the Hawaiian and Marshall Islands, as well as all over the Pacific. Enjoy a sampling of a unique, award winning, and extensive collection. Al and his wife Donna have lived on Maui since 1992.
