The art of Christina Cowan

Christina Cowan has been an integral part of the art community on Maui for 30 years teaching in the schools, at Hui No'eau Visual Art Center and at Kaunoa Senior Center; as education director and then President and CEO of the Maui Arts and Cultural Center; and as a studio artist in her primary love – ceramics. Her one-of-a-kind, hand-formed pieces are as contemplative as they are functional. Born in New York City, Christina has made the Hawaiian islands her home for over 40 years
